Gen Con Indy 2013
This year I was finally able to make it out to Gen Con Indy, and I had a blast. So much I can talk about. First off I got to finally meet the Cosplay Deviants con team. I've been apart of Cosdev for a few years now and have never gotten to talk to them outside of chat. Such great girls, I love them. I went into Gen Con on a mission to demo several games I've seen around and found interesting, one those is Malifaux. To my disadvantage the Wyrd Miniatures team had such amazing week at Gen Con by the time I got to demo both Malifaux and Puppet Wars the team was drained and exhausted. While I enjoyed the games I feel I didnt get a true demo, but I will get one soon. Another game I was looking forward to was Deep Wars, but yet again I was at a disadvantage. After a few days the Antimatter team packed up to relax and I was unable to demo :( I still look forward to learning this game. Cool mini or Not was there with great games like Anima Tactics and amazing models from Raging Heroes, and spent the whole con packed giving demos. Impact miniatures premiered their new chibi adventures line. They were so cute :) I had to have their Chibi Cthulhu. Speaking of Cthulhu I got a glimpse at a brand new game called Cthulhu Wars, which will be on sale next spring. The miniatures were so beautiful and amazing, I was sold on it without a demo. I can not wait to get my hands on this game. My time there was great and I cant wait till 2014.

Necron review
So this blog I will be reviewing my favorite army Necrons.
HQ:
In the HQ section there are so many good choices in both named characters and generic characters. Szeras is one of my favorites with his eldrich lance and his special ability to augment either Warriors or Immortals. But the real highlight of this section is the Royal Court. For every Necron Overlord you get up to five Necron Lords and five Crypteks, to either be apart of one unit or split off into other units. With Lords you get a wide variety of great hand weapons but most importantly a resurrection orb. With a resurrection orb both Reanimation Protocols and Ever Living rolls go from a 5+ to a 4+, this is probably one of the most important piece of wargear in the book. Crypteks give you a wide choice of supporting and ranged gear, just too many epic weapons and combinations to talk about.
Troop:
In the Troops section we have Necron Warriors and Necron Immortals. Both have there places and roles in armies. If you want a lot of foot soliders Warriors are your choice, but if you want fire power you want Immortals. They are just awesome. They can switch their Guass Cannons for Tesla Carbines for free, which Teslas are great against swarms of enemies but not good against armour. If you want a unit to sit and hold objectives go with Tesla Immortals, for everything else Guass Immortals.
Elites:
Time for the heavy hitters section; and damn is there a lot of them. At the top of the list is the C'Tan Shard. Holy crap are these powerful. Ignore difficult and dangerous terrain? Hell yes! They will kill what ever you need them to kill, and if they die they still kill everyone. Because they explode when they die lol You have to customize their powers which gives you a lot of options, from blow up flame weapons to "Gaze of Death" (the name is all you need to know about that power). Flayed Ones are my favorite fluff wise, I just wish I could use them. In all my games they have never made it to combat, but still they're robots that try to eat people. Still epic lol On my list of "can't wait to try" Lynch Guard and Triarch Stalker, the Triach's gun (with two shooting types) makes me happy.
Fast Attack:
Oh My God! I love this section. Destroyers, Canoptek Scarabs, and Canoptek Wraiths; best section in the book! So good. Destroyers, are as some of my friends call them, Necrons that suffer from "emodom" lol They hate everything and they kill everything (Preferred Enemy Everything!). Scarabs go nom nom with tanks, yes they eat tanks. You can tell I like Scarabs, maybe love is a better term to use. And finally there are Wraiths. Don't know where to begin with them. They move fast and hit hard.
Heavy Support:
Normally someone would write about Monoliths, not me. My choice with this section is the Doom Scythe. A fighter jet with a epic cannon on it. My first game I used with it I hit 2 predator tanks and a dreadnought. A lot of BOOMS! Now the cannon can't have skyfire, but the death ray isn't the only gun this fighter has, so in a dog fight it can hold its own. My second pick for this section is Canoptek Spyder. Its a big tough monstrous creature that makes Scarabs every turn. More nom noms. Every turn each Spyder you have (up to three per unit) will make a new Scarab base. I think I've gotten the Scarab unit up to 12 bases, I think my opponent's soul broke when I multi-charged his tanks, I smiled.
Ok so that's all today. There are plenty of more units to talk about but these are all my top choices. Please feel free to chime in if you feel other Necron units that need mentioning. Thanks for reading.
